Beau Greaves will open her defence of the 2025 Betfred Women’s World Matchplay against Finland’s debutant Kirsi Viinikainen, after the eight-player line-up for next month’s event was finalised.
The fourth staging of the £25,000 event will be held on the afternoon of Sunday July 27 at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens, televised live on Sky Sports and through the PDC’s global broadcast partners.
Greaves will headline a star-studded line-up at the Empress Ballroom, which also features 2022 champion Fallon Sherrock and former PDC Tour Card Holder Lisa Ashton.

Humphries dispatches Dobey to secure Night One victory in Belfast
Luke Humphries enjoyed the perfect start to the 2025 BetMGM Premier League season on Thursday, dispatching Chris Dobey 6-1 to prevail on Night One in Belfast.
Humphries made a statement start to this year’s roadshow at The SSE Arena, defeating Nathan Aspinall, Michael van Gerwen and Dobey to claim a five-point haul on the tournament’s opening night.
The world number one came into Thursday’s play fresh from lifting the revamped Winmau World Masters last weekend, and he extended that winning run in the Northern Irish capital.
Humphries averaged 105 to run out an emphatic 6-2 winner against Aspinall in the quarter-finals, before edging out seven-time champion Van Gerwen in a dramatic semi-final showdown.

Humphries wins 2025 Winmau World Masters after epic final against Clayton
Luke Humphries survived an incredible fightback from Jonny Clayton to be crowned the 2025 Winmau World Master in the first iteration of the rejuvenated classic competition at Milton Keynes’ Marshall Arena.
World number one Humphries was seemingly in cruise control as he charged into a 5-2 lead and on his way to the £100,000 top prize, before Clayton produced heroics to drag himself level at 5-5 to set up a tense deciding set in an scintillating final.
In a nail-biting final stanza, Clayton took the advantage with a break of throw, only to see Humphries return the favour to set up a sudden-death leg.
With the darts in hand, Humphries hit back-to-back 140s before eventually winning the title on tops to be crowned the first Winmau World Masters champion in the remastered tournament – which features the unique best-of three legs per set format.
